THE MEXICAN is providing some bullet points from the CNN Mexico interview on the videos below. With slight edits.
Additions as they become available.
1. Legion of Christ superiors knew about Maciel´s children at least 15 years ago.
2. Sons of Maciel have proof that Maciel sexually abused other kids.
3. This lawyer represents 3 of Maciels sons, all three of the same mother, all of them mexican.
4. Maciel has another son named Kevin and had a daughter in France who died in a car accident in her way to pick Maciel at the airport.
5. The lawyer shows a letter Maciel wrote to one of his mexican sons. You can see how different the writing style is comparing to the public letters of MM as a priest.
6. It wasn't until 1997 that Maciel revealed his true identity to one of his sons, later to all of the children and wives.
7. Maciel appeared as Jaime Alberto Gonzalez to his sons and wife, said he was working for a multinational company and that he was very sick with many ailments, liver for example.
8. Maciels sons knew about each other.
9. The lawyer sugests JPII knew about Maciels sons, but only because they called him father infront of the pope...
10. The lawyer and one of the kids spoke last Saturday with the Bishop of Tepic, in charge of the visitation in Mexico. They have an appointment in September for his two brothers and their mom with the bishop.

On nº 2: the lawyer certainly did not state that.
On nº 9: it's all most confusing and there were no data offered. Was it a lengthy private audience complete with family dialogue (most unlikely), or did the Pope give Communion to a huge group of children, or what?
The main point is the superiors of LC were complicit from way, way back.
A doubt: How was it explained that Norma's surname is Rivas, while the three boys are obviously González?
He did say that maciels sons told him they could testify regarding maciels sexual abuse. However the lawyer has no proof in his hands today.
About JPII, agian, there is no proof he knew.
And Normas surname is easily explained because Maciel had several identities and passports, one of them: Mr. Juan Rivas
THE MEXICAN
Right. And how would he explain to children B that sister A had a different surname? Sheer curiosity.
Curiouser and curiouser.
About JPII José Bonilla offers only a supposition, a kind of syllogism. Nothing accepted in any court of justice.
More important to note how easily LC superiors sacrifies charism to crisis management. Real love to the Church, to Pope, to souls should bring Alvarito & friends to declare all the truth they know, without allowing more damn to the faith.

Someone made a translation of the most important parts of the interview.
I hope Rivas is a common name in MX because there is at least one Fr. Rivas LC and now I'm wondering if he's yet another kid of MM . . . .
Interesting coincidence with the name of Fr. Rivas. I know a Spanish Legionary who bears a strong resemblance to Fr. Maciel, and even before I knew about secret heirs, it kinda made me go hmmmmmm. Anyone think that it is possible that one or more LC's COULD be NP's children??
Ask Lucrecia.
We are in a position where we can believe anything about MM.
Did he abuse consacrated women?
Did he abuse his cow "Mariposa"?
Was he a visitor at MJ´s Neverland?
Sure... why not?
But the problem now is not discovering MM past. But who knew? When? And why all this kept in secret?????
The three amigos (Corcuera, Garza and Sada) must respond. along with the 7 dwarfs ( Devlin, Quirce, etc...)
Discovering (or uncovering as it may be the case) MM's past may be quite important if by doing so we find that the LC covered it up. The more sordid details that emerge, the harder it would be for the LC to deny they knew anything ESPECIALLY if there are LC's in the ranks who are literally sons of "Nuestro Padre". We certainly can't rely on the LC to disclose anything like this on their own and I'm betting that the AV teams would be quite interested in news of this sort.
So MM was a polygamist? I didn't realize that he actually married these women.
Can they produce wedding pictures or maybe even at the beach for a family vacation? That ought to snap these people ought of their stupor.
Those poor kids! Sick, sick, sick.
My parents could not afford to jet us over to Rome a few times when I was growing up. And they worked for a living.
I am going to the toilet to vomit.
I feel sorry for those families who maybe didn't get their son/daughter a new bike, or didn't remodel the basement, b/c they thought donating to the Legion's seminary was the more Christian thing to do ... all the while MM's children were living the good life...sickening.
As for the marriages, MM didn't marry any of the women. Bonilla said that in the interview. Did I understand wrong?
He didnt marry this woman. But I heard he did married Norma Baños as Mr. Juan Rivas...
Yes, neither "Jaime Alberto González" nor "Juan Rivas" (sake name of the Legionary founder of Hombre Nuevo), nor "Patricio O'Horney" or "Louis MonPere" (the last two I made up, of course) ever technically got married, as far as anyone can tell.
His were "common-law" marriages, if any, or simply good ole passionate love affairs by the Devonaire Legionaire.
Pardon my typo, above.
I meant to say: The Debonaire Legionaire.
Mexican: He is not "Juan" He is José. And 4.
Still RC - For Now, Anyway,
You are a master of understatement.
Did these children ever wonder about their paternal grandmother? Or aunts or uncles? Did Mama Maura know?
Mama died in 1977. That was before these particular children of Maciel were born, right?
Stories can always be made up to satisfy children---daddy was an only child, orphaned with no living relatives, etc, etc.
I can't imagine Mama Maurita could be so blinded by her son that she had NO IDEA he was not all that he proclaimed to be. His pride alone should have been enough to alert a wise mother. However, perhaps she was not at all wise, and in her machismo culture, his behavior may have been virtually unquestionable by a woman. Who knows? I won't sit in judgment on her without more info as to what she knew/didn't know. But I won't be lighting any candles to her anytime too soon, either.
"Mama died in 1977. That was before these particular children of Maciel were born, right?"
OK that explains it - MM's behavior is due to issues with . . . HIS MOTHER.
Let's see how long it takes the LC to float that one as a plausible excuse. Worth a try on their part - the other ones went nowhere.
He was molesting kids for a long time before she died. I'm sure she just liked showing her friends and neighbors the pictures of her son and the pope with all those cute little boys.
10 years of lies
Let's just say, as someone with a little knowledge not only of Mexican culture, but of Mexicans who live in small towns such as Cotija -- that environment is so dysfunctional.
A woman such as Maura would never, ever, ever, even if she saw her own son molest a young boy, admit it to herself or others that he had done something bad. It's not a matter to them of justice for the young boy, or a matter of right or wrong, it's a matter of family loyalty.
Mexicans are masters at many things, but the one thing they do better than anything else in the world is to keep a secret, ESPECIALLY when it's about a family member.
Believe me, I know. I don't want to go into details, but I know.
Actually, I see that a lot in the Legion at the upper level. Family loyalty trumps all other considerations, including justice, truth, charity, etc...
In other words, it's a mafia mentality. Which is exactly how the LC managed to intertwine themselves so well in our Church, because the Church is a bit of a mafia, too. Secrets must be kept at all cost to protect the family/organization name. Justice and morality be damned! What matters is survival of the family/organization. And working the system to the financial benefit of same family/organization.
