Corcera asks "forgiveness for all this suffering"?????

From a letter sent by Fr. Alvaro Corcuera to members of the Regnum Christi:

“It is also true that he was a man, and these things that have hurt and surprised us -- and I don’t believe we can explain with our reason alone -- have already been judged by God. It is true that we are going through much suffering and a great deal of pain. As in a family, these pains draw us together and lead us to suffer and rejoice as one body. This circumstance we are living invites us to look at everything with much faith, humility and charity. Thus we place it in the hands of God, who teaches us the way of infinite mercy.”
“For my part, I ask forgiveness for all this suffering,” Fr. Corcuera continued. “And I beg God with all my being to help us all to see it from the heart of Christ.”

Now what the heck is that supposed to mean? Forgiveness for the suffering the LC and RC are going through? What about everyone else; the Church, the victims, the "mistress" and daughter, ex-members? What suffering exactly? Does this petition mean he feels complicit in what caused the suffering?

Exlcblogger is honestly perplexed.

Could they bungle this any worse?

Step down Alavaro. Step down from your post and fire the others.

For 20, 25, 30 years you knew this man was taking HUGE sums of money to undisclosed locations and you all turned a blind eye.

You hired law firms, PR firms, Private Investigators to track your critics but never investigate internally.

You silenced former LC's who only wanted some answers and some help. You besmirched our reputations and defamed our characters and scarred some of us emotionally, psychologically and spiritually for life by shaming us in our departure.

You are as guilty as MM. You are an accomplice to the crime but not stopping it. Under RICO laws you would be prosecuted for extortion, money laundering and racketeering.

Your continuation in this position only twists the knife even more.

Step down. Call an emergency meeting of the major superiors, fire them all and resign. All new, untainted leadership.

If you, Garza and Sada continue the blood will never be washed from your hands, your funding will dry up and your vocations will disappear. Every parents of a an apostolic or PC should pull them out of the school. Every monthly gift giver should put a stop order on payment. Until you and the others do right by God and by us by stepping down and renouncing ALL positions of authority for the rest of your lives this will only get worse.

That is justice- not vengance, not anger- justice. Justice will be served- now or in the next life.

That is your decision. Hopefully you make a better one than MM.

Legionaries don't know how to forgive. MM trained them to always defend because he was always right. No they are in a predicament were forgiveness is inevitable and the whole congregation froze up like a pasture of deer in headlights!

And I love how people keep comparing MM to St. Peter. The only thing their forgetting is St. Peter repented!!!! MM Didn't!!!

MM=Judas.

This whole paragraph of Fr Alvaro is ambiguity. It's like 99 percent of Church documents that have come out after Vatican II...AMBIGUOUS!

Maybe if the Church would affirm the teaching "Outside the Church there is no salavation" orders like the Legionaries would have a purpose: going to non-Christian countries and converting people to Christ.

Instead since everyone is going to heaven anyway, orders like the Legionaries just exist to serve themselves and get money and more recruits! But for what? What is the purpose of it? Go to India and make some converts! Fill a need in the USA, we have a shortage of priests!

Is it true that this only came out because the daughter wants to sell her story?

Boy, if it is, she will make a bundle.
