DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR DONATIONS ARE GOING? THEY ARE BEING USED TO PAY FOR ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF’S SALARIES, THEIR VACATIONS, AND THEIR “ ? BUSINESS ” TRIPS.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BELOW LIST IS INCOMPLETE.
THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE ARE THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF OF HOMBRE NUEVO:
- FRANCISCO FERNANDEZ: President of Hombre Nuevo. His salary $120,000/yr. Getting paid IN CASH. Is not on payroll. Is not paying income taxes. Has NO U.S. Visa – is here in the United States illegally.
- RAFAEL OROZCO: His salary $85,000/yr. including bonuses.
- GABRIELA MONTENEGRO: Her salary $70,000/yr. including bonuses. She is taking 6 weeks of vacation a year and being paid full-time.
- DIANA VELA: Her salary $68,000/yr.
- FRANCES GUERRERO: Her salary $60,000/yr.
- RODRIGO VELA: Diana Vela’s husband. His salary $50,000/yr.
- ARMANDINA CUEVAS: Her salary $45,000/yr.

If number 1 is true then that is a very serious matter -- someone who is not legally permitted to work in this country receiving a large salary under the table???
As to the rest of them, so what? These are not huge salaries, and just because the organization is not-for-profit does not mean that it can't have a payroll. Not-for-profit does not require that everyone has to be a volunteer.
These people better be asking for a raise actually.
These salaries are below market, specially in LA.
I am agree with Don's comment Please tell me why they get this amount of salary?
