From Life After RC comboxI remember one of the first Triduums I attended I was in Spiritual Direction with Fr. Ed. Hopkins, I was new to RC and was having difficulty understanding what is was about and what the apostalates were supposed to be doing. We didn't have any really up and running at the time, just a lot of talk about getting involved. I asked Fr. why we couldn't start something with the homeless shelter, or the food pantry and he screamed at me "that's not what we do, that's not our charism." I asked "what is the charism, I'm having a hard time figuring what it is we do?"He just said "well that's not it." I left, and I didn't go on another retreat for about 4 years.

For all of those hanger-on'ers still clinging to the self-pride and false hope of the LC/RC, consider this: Would stay in an organization founded by Michael Jackson if you knew he molested and sexually abused people in that organization and people that that organization was supposed to be nurturing? The obvious answer is NO.
Well, what MM did was THOUSANDS of times worse. Yet, you stay part of it. The LC/RC is NOT the Church. Get out and bring your talents to THE Church.

This is Molly, WOW, I didn't expect this. When I remember this incident, it makes me laugh. FYI I did resign, quit, leave whatever, RC in June.

I realize there isn't a lot of hard news, but it's a bit strange that the bloggers covering this story have gone dark so suddenly.
