Why did you have to bring back so many bad memories . . . I was so surprised when i was told in the LC to put one of those on, and to use a whip to hit myself.
Sorry, just couldn't make myself do it.
I never used it nor was I asked to, but I heard brothers whip themselves after lights out quite regularly in salamanca - it was frightening enough to hear the three whips, how can self-torture or self-mutilation do any one any good?
I'll bet Maciel never used it due to his "bad health".
