The Legion of Christ is undergoing a time of great scandal due to the sham life of sin of their founder,which the LCs continue to be in denial about, and benefactors are hanging on to their cash. Some are waiting to see the result of the apostolic visitation, some have lost trust and will take their donor money elsewhere, and they won't be back. furthermore, if the legion wasn't taking over a Catholic college, they might have the money to continue supporting Gateway.
